About the Course

This is not a beginner course. Intermediate AR is a course designed for the shooter who has intermediate-level experience with an AR-style firearm. Students are required to understand and display basic rifle fundamentals. This includes but is not limited to proper stance, sight alignment, sight picture, and loading/unloading the firearm. Students who do not feel confident in these fundamentals are suggested to take Intro to AR or a Private Instruction.

This course will begin in the classroom as instructors review firearm safety rules and the basic fundamentals taught in Intro to AR. Additionally, students will be introduced to new skills and techniques such as emergency reloads, tactical reloads, clearing malfunctions, immediate action, and remedial action. Once on the range, instructors will lead students through live-fire drills that give hands-on experience with the skills taught in the classroom. Drills will become increasingly difficult throughout the live-fire course. Situational awareness will also be introduced and gradually emphasized.

Please note that students must bring their own firearms. Firearm rentals are not available for this course.
