Duration: 9-10 Hour Course (Divided into 3 consecutive, 3-hour days)
Prerequisite Course(s): None
Prerequisite Skills: This course is not intended for novice shooters and does not include the training in order to pass the range qualification. Taking this course assumes you already have the skills and experience to safely handle, use and manipulate handguns. If you do not have those skills, please consider taking a Private Instruction or Basic Handgun course before taking this qualification course.

This is the prerequisite course for an application to obtain an NC Concealed Carry Handgun permit. The course is 8 hours of classroom training, followed by a written test, then a shooting qualification on the firing range. Successful completion of the course, and subsequently receiving a CCH Certificate, requires that students pass the shooting and written exam. After successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply for their NC CCH permit with their respective county's Sheriff's Office.
