Training Policies

Thank you for your interest in enrolling!

We’re excited that you are interested in enrolling in one of our educational courses. We ask that you take a minute and read over our training policies as well as a few reminders. These policies are in place for our courses and private instruction. Our Education Coordinators are always available to assist you with any questions – see their contact information below.

Registration Policy

  • By purchasing a course, drill, or private instruction, customers automatically agree to the Triangle Shooting Academy Training Policies and Terms & Conditions.
  • Students must meet all prerequisite courses, prerequisite skills, and age requirements as listed on the course description. If the 48-hour notification window has closed there will be no refunds, reschedules, or store credit given due to failure to comply with these restrictions.
  • Student information provided during registration must reflect information as it’s printed on photo identification.
  • If you are paying for an additional student, please make sure you include their full name, telephone number and email address. This is how we confirm our rosters and completed waivers. Accurate information expedites our course check-in process.

Course & Drills Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

  • A minimum of 48-hours notice must be given to a Triangle Shooting Academy Education Coordinator to be eligible for a reschedule, store credit, or full refund. Notification given less than 48-hours notice will result in forfeiture of course payment.
  • If notification is given 48-hours prior to your originally scheduled course, students may be rescheduled for a future course, receive a full refund or a store credit.
  • If a qualifying student wishes to reschedule, they will be permitted to move their seat to a future course one time. Please note that multiple reschedules are not permitted. Once a course is rescheduled a student cannot receive a refund, store credit or additional reschedule regardless of the amount of notice.
  • MEDICAL EXCEPTION: If the 48-hour window has closed and a student cancels their training due to a medical emergency they will receive one reschedule at no additional cost if the student can provide a doctor’s note stating they could not attend that specific date and time.
  • Additional restrictions may apply. Please contact an Education Coordinator.
  • To reschedule or cancel, please send an email to Education@triangleshootingacademy.com or call (919) 802-2040 ext 117. Please leave a voicemail if this extension does not answer.

Private Instruction Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

  • A minimum of 48-hours notice must be given to a Triangle Shooting Academy Education Coordinator to be eligible for a reschedule, store credit, or full refund without penalty.
  • If a qualifying student wishes to reschedule, they will be permitted to move the date of the private instruction one time. Multiple reschedules are not permitted. Once a private instruction is rescheduled a student cannot receive a refund, store credit, or reschedule regardless of the amount of notice.
  • If the 48-hour window has closed and they cannot make their scheduled date and time, they can reschedule their private instruction by paying an additional $35.00 rescheduling fee. This rescheduling fee can only be used once per private instruction fee. Once a private instruction is rescheduled a student cannot receive a refund, store credit, or reschedule regardless of the amount of notice.

Attendance Policy

  • Any student who does not show up for their scheduled course will forfeit their payment and cannot be rescheduled to a future course. You may register for another course at the full price.
  • Students who arrive after the course begins may not be permitted to enter the course. Once firearm safety handling rules have been covered during the course, no new students may enter.
  • Please arrive with ample time to check-in, select/pay for lunch (if applicable), purchase any rental firearms, etc.
  • Do not wait until the day of your course to purchase the required materials for your course. Our inventory changes rapidly and we may not have the materials in stock. Refunds/Reschedules will not be issued if a student arrives without the required materials. However, if you are renting a firearm from Triangle Shooting Academy, you will need to purchase ammunition from the facility during your course check-in.

Course Completion Policy

  • Students must display safe firearm handling throughout the entirety of the course. If a student cannot follow safety protocol, they may be asked to leave the course. If this occurs, an Education Coordinator will contact you to assist you further.
  • Triangle Shooting Academy cannot reissue lost or damaged Concealed Carry Certificates.

A few reminders…

  1. A range waiver must be completed if you are taking a course that involves range-time. If you have a non-expired range card or membership card, you do not need to complete a new waiver. Otherwise, please complete the range waiver now.

  2. Dress code must be adhered to during courses. No open-toe shoes or high heels are permitted on the range. No tank tops, v-cut, low-cut, see-through or cropped shirts are permitted on the range. We suggest comfortable tennis shoes and a t-shirt. This dress code is in place for your safety and to prevent hot brass from making contact with your skin. Triangle Shooting Academy reserves the right to refuse anyone to shoot at our facility for dress code.

  3. Please check-in at Guest Services upon arrival at Triangle Shooting Academy. Your valid photo identification must be presented prior to the course. Please inform a Guest Services team member if you need a rental firearm for your class.

  4. If you do not already have one, a range card can be purchased at the time of check-in. Range cards allow you access to the range for one year (lane fees apply).

  5. If rental firearms are provided as part of your training or if you plan to rent a firearm, please be aware that the ammunition must be purchased from TSA. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of class to purchase any ammunition or other supplies you may need.

  6. If you plan to eat at TSA Cafe, please arrive early to your class so you can order in advance and prepay to eliminate any delays in class. Be sure to check out TSA Café’s menu for your lunch.
